t. Poddar Group

Vimal Poddar is a self made entrepreneur who started his career with less than Rs.10,000 and today he is executing projects worth couple hundreds of crores. Born in 1964 to late Shri Nardeyi Devi Poddar and late Shri Tormal Poddar, the patriarch of the affluent family in a tiny Rajasthani village, Sithal, Vimal Poddar, like a typical village boy, completed schooling in his village, and for college went to the near by town of Jhunjhunu.

 

By 1987, after few successful years in his textile shop, Mr. Poddar decided to try his hand in the construction business along with Mr. Gopal Dokania. Though coming from affluent family, Mr. Poddar did not ask for any inheritance to finance his business, instead used his profit from the textile business.

 

Madhulika Apartments, the group's first project, was completed in 1989 and with it came great success. Banking on this form, by 1991 the 2 partners had made 3 more projects, each bigger and more successful than the one before.

 

In 1991, Mr. Poddar launched his first project as an independent developer. Since then, T. Poddar Group has grown exponentially to become one of the biggest and most trusted Real Estate firm in Surat. The group has also been operating in Ahmedabad for more than a decade. Apart from that, Mr Poddar has several land banks across India.
